Inspired Design.
“At Layr Systems, sustainability isn’t a feature — it’s our foundation. Every product we design is engineered to minimize environmental impact while maximizing performance and longevity. From reducing material waste to improving rooftop efficiency, our systems help architects create resilient, low-maintenance landscapes that endure. By addressing challenges like wind uplift through smart, sustainable engineering, we’re supporting a greener built environment — one project, one layer at a time.”

Plastics
Layr pedestals & support tray systems are manufactured using recycled and recyclable materials, supporting circular production and minimizing reliance on virgin plastics.
Designed for long-term performance, Layr’s modular systems extend the life of decking and paving installations while reducing material waste. Our production processes emphasize energy efficiency and waste reduction, aligning with international environmental management standards.
Porcelain Pavers
Layr 2cm Porcelain Pavers are built with sustainability in mind. Each paver contains 35% pre-consumer recycled materials and is produced using locally sourced raw materials within 500 miles of our factory — reducing transport emissions and supporting LEED regional credits. We back our environmental claims with verified documentation, including a Corporate Sustainability Report (GRI), an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), and a Health Product Declaration (HPD). All packaging is fully recyclable and reusable, and even demolished tiles are considered inert, making them safe to recycle.
Wood Deck Tiles
Layr Black Locust Deck Tiles are a naturally sustainable choice for exterior surfaces. Black Locust is one of the most durable and renewable hardwoods in North America — it grows quickly, thrives without chemical treatments, and requires no tropical deforestation.
Harvested from responsibly managed forests, our Black Locust is 100% domestic and FSC-compliant, minimizing transportation emissions and supporting local ecosystems. Its natural resistance to rot, decay, and pests eliminates the need for toxic sealants or preservatives, reducing environmental impact throughout its life cycle.
Non-Combustible Pedestals
Made from 100% recyclable metal components, the system eliminates the use of plastic materials typically found in conventional pedestals. This significantly reduces reliance on petrochemical-based products and supports a circular material economy.
Because of its long service life and durability, the Non-Combustible pedestal system minimizes waste generation over time — components can be reused across multiple projects or recycled at end-of-life without loss of material integrity.
